Class 5LF's Class Assembly

This morning, 5LF presented an infomative and amusing look at the Aztecs. What a great performance by everyone involved. Thank you to all the parents who came to watch and give their support.

Class 5PA present the first Annual Planet Awards!

Congratulations to class 5PA who performed their assembley this morning (27/4) to parents and the school. They did a fantastic job and a big thank you to Mrs Apaw and Mrs Cooney for all their hard work!

For Caesar jolly good fellow!

Children have been watching themselves on the big screen and learning all about how films are created and edited with media technology. More screenshots can be found in the gallery. All the footage was shot within our school library.

Friday 30th March was 'Wear a Hat Day' where people were asked to wear interesting head wear in return for a donation to raise funds for brain tumor research. On the left are some of the winners of most creative hat worn to school. As you can see, some children got incredibly creative with these fantastic designs.

And the winner is......

Class 5MT performed their class assembly this morning (Friday 30th March) and got us all excited about the Olympics with their motivational messages and uplifting singing. Even parents couldn't resist waving their arms in the air during the songs. A big thank you to everyone who came and created such a great atmosphere. Everybody left with a smile on their face; the chocolate biscuits didn't hurt either.

When in Rome...

Well done to class 3NR for their fantastic assembly. Pupils and parents enjoyed learning more about the Romans and the costumes were superb. We definately noticed a couple of parents flinching in fear at the sight of the Celts and Roman Imperials.

Our production of Hansel and Gretel by Ian Faraday and Andrew Oxpring was a storming success and everyone involved had a fantastic time. We would like to once again thank Mrs Hume and Miss McCartney for putting so much work into the performance. Some group photos can be found on the gallery page.

Lights, Camera, ACTION!

Hollywood comes to Sundon Park Junior School, as pupils got to star in their very own spoof news report in one of the many activities Year 3 children got to enjoy for Roman day on Friday March 9th. Check out the gallery page for more great images.

Get ready for the year 4 Victorian day on Thursday 9th February. All year 4 children have the opportunity to dress in authentic victorian clothes as they are transported back in time into what we expect will be a slightly stricter teaching environment!

Welcome to Sundon Park Junior School's brand new website. It's only early days, so much of the content remains under construction, but we're hoping this will be a fantastic resource for both parents and children alike. Hopefully, you should be able to find exactly what you are looking for using the main menu at the top of the page and the sub-menus on the left.

Thanks to everyone who took part in the fundraising activities for Children in Need. We managed to raise £631.15 which is about £2 per child, so fantastic work!

The New Academic Year

As we start another school year, we thought we would use this time to give parents a list of important dates they should make note of, as well as underlining some of the procedures for situations such as reporting child absence and administering medication within school.

The school day begins at 8:50am when the morning register is taken; it is at this time that the front gates are shut. Should your child arrive after this time, they must come through the reception area so that they can be signed in.

School Uniform Sales

Unfortunately, due to how busy the office staff are at the beginning and end of the school day, we require some time to complete orders and once payment is received, the uniform will be sent out the following day providing we have the items in stock.
