Rules and Behaviour
At Sundon Park Junior School we aim to teach children to take responsibility for their own behavior and actions. We have a Behaviour Management Framework that is used consistently throughout the school. Children are taught that their actions, good or bad, have consequences and that they all have equal rights and responsibilities.

REWARD SYSTEMS
As well as praise and stickers, merits are awarded to children for work that exceeds expectations. This may be when a child puts in a great deal of effort and hard work, or when the work produced exceeds the teacher's expectation. Children collect merit points in their contact books and are awarded bronze, silver and gold certificates when they reach certain set goals.
House points are awarded to children who are positive role models around the school. These children are polite, courteous and show good manners. House points are collected and children are awarded with a bronze, silver or gold star pin badge which they can wear on their uniform as a visual recognition of their achievement.
Certificates are awarded on a weekly basis by teachers for children's achievements in class. Children who produce an excellent piece of work or show great improvement may be awarded a Headteacher's Commendation.
